BG Pathum United Edges Out Plangkan FC 2-1 at Home to Claim Crucial 3 Points and Move Up the Table

BG Pathum United continued to show strong form, winning 2-1 at home over Plangkan FC with goals from Tomoyuki Doi and Ekanit Panya, moving up to third place in the standings.


On 24 Dec 2025 GMT+7, in the BYD SeLion Six League One 2025-26 season, BG Pathum United hosted Plangkan FC. “The Rabbit” took advantage of their decisive attacking play to clinch a 2-1 home win, securing crucial three points late in the first leg.

The game started with BG Pathum dominating possession and attacking continuously. At the 12th minute, Tomoyuki Doi had three clear shooting chances but was denied by visiting goalkeeper Kittipong Phuthaochueak.

At the 23rd minute, the home side took the lead 1-0 when Pongrawit Chantawong crossed the ball into the box, allowing Tomoyuki Doi to tap in from close range. The first half ended with this score.

In the second half, Plangkan adjusted well and equalized at the 54th minute from a corner kick, with Diego Bardanca heading the ball firmly into the net.

However, at the 72nd minute, BG Pathum regained the lead on a counterattack. Ekanit Panya received a long ball from the back, calmly finishing to put the home team ahead 2-1.

In injury time, at 90+6 minutes, Plangkan were reduced to 10 men after Pongpat Liurungreungkit was shown a red card for a heavy foul on Surachart Sareepim.

The match ended with BG Pathum United winning 2-1 at home, moving up to third place in the standings with 28 points after the first leg. Plangkan remained with 10 points, staying second from bottom.
