In the first half, during injury time at 45+4 minutes, the home team "Ratchanok Mangkorn" was reduced to 10 players when veteran midfielder and captain Jakrapan Kaewprom slid into the ankle of Natthapong Sairiya from behind. After VAR review, the referee showed a red card, sending him off.
In the second half, at 51 minutes, Ratchaburi, down to 10 men, took the lead 1-0 when Denilson Junior intercepted the ball in midfield, charged down the left wing, and crossed to the far post where Charoensak Wongkorn, recently transferred from BG Pathum United, struck firmly into the net.
At 55 minutes, Chonburi nearly equalized immediately. Santipap Janngom unleashed a powerful long-range shot from just outside the penalty area, but Ratchaburi goalkeeper Ukrit Wongmeema dived to tip the ball, which then hit the post and rebounded away, much to the disappointment of the visitors.
At 61 minutes, Chonburi again came close to scoring. Their key striker, Uker Fanlingen, turned and shot from close range inside the box, but Ukrit Wongmeema made a superb save, narrowly parrying the ball away.
At 68 minutes, Uker Fanlingen nearly leveled the score once more with a header that struck the post, then followed up with a close-range shot, but Ratchaburi's Jesse Curran managed to block the ball on the goal line.
In the remaining time, Ratchaburi successfully held on to win 1-0, moving up to 32 points and overtaking Port FC, who have 30 points, to reclaim second place. However, they remain 12 points behind league leaders Buriram United.
Meanwhile, Chonburi FC have not won in their last two matches (one draw, one loss), remaining with 15 points and staying in 12th place.
