Today's Thai League 1 results: Muangthong is in serious trouble after losing to Ayutthaya, marking their fourth consecutive home defeat.

In the first half, both teams had few clear chances. The best opportunity came for Muangthong United during stoppage time at 45+3 minutes, when Siradon Phosri delivered a free kick from the right into the box. Bulgarian defender Stefan Sonkov rose to head, but Warut Mekmusik made a save. The half ended scoreless at 0-0.
Early in the second half, at the 49th minute, Ayutthaya nearly took the lead when Korean defender Hwang Hyun-su headed the ball, which was about to cross the line, but Kim Dong-su, a fellow Korean defender for Muangthong United, cleared it just in time.
At the 56th minute, Ayutthaya United took the lead 1-0. Diego Carioca crossed from the right into the penalty area, where Kritsana Kasemkulvilai, a new forward who joined in the second leg, made an unmarked header to score his first goal in his debut match for the club.
No more goals followed, and the match ended with Muangthong United losing at home 0-1. This marked their third consecutive defeat overall and fourth straight home loss. They remain with 13 points in 13th place.
Ayutthaya United increased their tally to 21 points but remain in 9th place on the Thai League 1 standings.
