Coach Jun Speaks Honestly to Mon Thong Wittaya Fans After Continued 11-a-Side Losses, Also Comments on Pimrypie

"Coach Jun" speaks frankly to Mon Thong Wittaya fans after the team still hasn’t won in 11-a-side football, also sharing comments about "Pimrypie".

On 30 March 2026 GMT+7, Coach Jun Anurak Srikerd, the new head coach of Mon Thong Wittaya School, gave an interview following the conclusion of the first Mon Thong Friends Opening Football Tournament, built by Pimrypie, held yesterday (29 March 2026 GMT+7).

The results showed that Mon Thong Wittaya, led by Tae Warakorn Changkhian Dee, lost 0-1 to Wat Sutthiwararam in the first match, then lost 4-5 on penalties to Sarawittaya in the third-place playoff. Previously, in the 11-a-side student football league, the Black Hunter High School Premier League 2026, they lost all three matches without scoring and conceded 23 goals.

However, Coach Jun Anurak Srikerd affirmed that the main goal is building people; match results are not the primary concern. The opportunity for the children to play and develop their skills is more important. The long-term goal is for the kids to earn scholarships to university or progress to professional clubs (T3) and earn a living, rather than focusing on touring football that could harm their health.

Regarding Pimrypie building the football field at Mon Thong Wittaya School, Coach Jun said, "Actually, I wasn’t around during the transition when the field was donated, but I am one of those who must thank the elders who support and recognize the importance of football for the children."

"Anyone who steps on this field and goes on to the national team, I believe this is a great opportunity that Pimrypie has left behind. It’s also important that the community now has such a quality football field here."

As for Mon Thong Wittaya’s recent frequent losses since Coach Jun took over and the focus on restructuring from 7-a-side to 11-a-side football, the former Thai national team midfielder said, "I understand how fans feel that the results might be causing them to gradually lose interest."

"But what we have gained is that many kids here have developed and have a good training program. I believe a good training program will lead to good development."
