Surachart Sareepim played the hero with a winning header that led BG Pathum United to a 1-0 victory over Buriram United in the 2025/26 Muang Thai Cup semifinals, repeating the same feat he achieved back in 2018.
8 April 2026 marked history repeating itself as “Keng” Surachart Sareepim, the seasoned striker of BG Pathum United, became the hero again by heading the winning goal to help “The Rabbits” exact revenge and eliminate Buriram United in the semifinals of the Muang Thai Cup 2025/26, just like the scene that unfolded eight years ago.
Going back to 2018 at Boonyachinda Stadium during the Toyota League Cup semifinals, Surachart Sareepim, then wearing the Bangkok Glass FC jersey, soared to head in a goal to put his team ahead 1-0 in the 12th minute. The game ended 2-1, shocking fans as Buriram was knocked out.
Fast forward to today, 8 April 2026, at Chonburi Daikin Stadium in the 2025-26 Muang Thai Cup semifinals, the same script played out again! Surachart, now a veteran but still sharp, leapt to head firmly in the 49th minute, sending the ball into the net to give BG Pathum United a 1-0 lead. That goal proved decisive, knocking the “Thunder Castle” out of the semifinals.
Beyond the sweet revenge for BG fans, this match also proved the timelessness of Surachart Sareepim, who remains a bane for the powerhouse from Northeast Thailand no matter how many years pass.
