Final big deal! Port FC secures "Jude Bell" to strengthen squad for five competitions in the coming season.
Port FC is preparing its team thoroughly to compete in five tournaments for the 2026/27 season. Recently, they signed Jude Bell, a 22-year-old Thai-English forward, as their final addition. He is set to travel to Thailand immediately before joining Port FC in Indonesia, where they are competing in the PIALA PRESIDEN 2026 tournament.
The 22-year-old forward's contract with Grimsby Town, an English League Two team, ended after the 2025/26 season. Despite receiving offers from European clubs and several top Thai League teams, Jude Bell chose to join Port FC on a four-year deal after careful consideration, viewing it as the best option currently. Especially appealing is the opportunity to play in the major AFC Champions League Elite and to be based in Thailand to prepare for representing the Thai national team at the 2027 Asian Cup finals in Saudi Arabia in January 2027.
Jude Bell began his football journey as a youth player at Swindon Town before showcasing his talent and being recruited by Chelsea's academy in 2015 at age 12. At just 18, he made his first senior team appearance under Thomas Tuchel in the Carabao Cup quarterfinals, helping Chelsea to a 2-0 away win over Brentford in 2021. He then moved to Tottenham Hotspur in 2023 but was unable to break into the first team, leading him to play abroad for the first time with Cordoba in Spain's Segunda Division in the 2024/25 season. He returned to England for the 2025/26 season with Grimsby Town, making 29 appearances in all competitions.
Regarding his international career, Jude Bell was once a highly regarded English youth prospect, having represented England at U15, U16, U18, and U19 levels. Currently, he has officially chosen to play for the Thai senior national team, his mother's homeland, thanks to coordination by “Madame Pang” Nualphan Lamsam, president of the Football Association and former Port FC chairwoman. He is expected to become a key player under coach Anthony Hudson.
