Thepsirin Nonthaburi Footballer Safe After Being Shot in Left Arm

A football player from Thepsirin Nonthaburi School is in stable condition after being shot in the left arm during the incident.

On 11 August 2026, a violent incident occurred inside Thepsirin Nonthaburi School in Nonthaburi Province. According to Ministry of Public Health data at 10:00 a.m. on 9 August, 36 people were involved: 27 injured and 9 deceased.

Recently, the official Facebook page of Thepsirin Nonthaburi School football team posted that one of their players was injured in the incident.

“During the incident, several students were injured, including ‘Chain,’ one of our football players.”

“Nantipat Areeraksa, Grade 9/9 (Chain), was hit by a stray bullet in his left arm but fortunately, the bullet did not hit any vital areas. He briefly recounted, ‘When I was shot, I didn’t feel much pain, just numbness. I climbed out the window, helped friends get down from the building, and then we took the ambulance out.’”

“Chain has now undergone surgery and is doing well. He is currently competing in events like the Nonthaburi Provincial Football and Nakornnon Cup, among others. However, doctors have advised him to rest for at least 3-5 months, so he will miss several competitions. On behalf of the Thepsirin Nonthaburi football family, we wish Chain a speedy recovery and hope he can soon return to chasing his dreams.”
