The family of Rashid Mosahehri, former goalkeeper of the Iranian national football team, confirmed that he has been missing for several days after posting a message criticizing Iran's Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei on social media.
On 5 March 2026, as the Iran conflict approaches its one-week mark, despite US President Donald Trump predicting the situation would end within 4-5 weeks, international security experts believe it may last longer if the Iranian government maintains strength and responds more forcefully than expected.
However, prior to the US attack on Iran that resulted in the death of the leader, Rashid Mosahehri had posted criticisms of Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei.
Mosahehri posted an image of Khamenei labeled “Satan” accompanied by the message: “Your power over this holy land has come to an end.”
According to IranWire, security officials raided Mosahehri's home, seized his electronic devices, and informed him of an impending arrest under a warrant. Following the raid, the post was deleted.
Mosahehri’s wife stated she has had no contact with her husband for 48 hours but agreed with his decision to post the message attacking Khamenei.
This incident has attracted significant public attention in Iran. So far, there has been no official announcement regarding the condition of the 36-year-old former goalkeeper.
