LEGO Goes All Out! Ronaldo and Messi Lead World Cup Promotion as Cutting-Edge Minifigures (Video)

LEGO goes big! Featuring Ronaldo and Messi to promote the World Cup collection transformed into cutting-edge minifigures.

On 2 Apr 2026 GMT+7, LEGO, the world-renowned toy brand, enlisted football legends Cristiano Ronaldo, captain of Portugal, and Lionel Messi, captain of Argentina, to star in advertisements promoting the special "LEGO FIFA World Cup 2026" collection ahead of the World Cup.

LEGO kicked off the FIFA World Cup 2026 by transforming four football icons—Cristiano Ronaldo, Lionel Messi, Vinícius Júnior, and Kylian Mbappé—into minifigures for the first time in history.

This collection offers three types of sets:

Football Highlights

which focus on action scenes capturing key moments of each player in a cinematic style. Each set is built on a base shaped like the first letter of the player's name, using colors referencing the player's national team, jersey number, and collectible plaques. The sets also include LEGO minifigures of the players to bring those moments to life.

Football Legend (2 versions)

Display-sized models of Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi.

The CR7 model, made of 854 pieces, can be posed in his signature "Siuuu" celebration or performing his classic bicycle kick. The set includes a large CR7 backdrop, printed plaques, a specially molded new face piece, and a newly designed football.

Messi’s model contains 958 LEGO pieces and can be built in two poses: his finger-pointing goal celebration and a dribbling pose capturing his agility on the field. The set also features a large number 10, the letters MESSI, and printed name plaques.

Lionel Messi “Celebration”

Presented as a 3D wall art piece, this set has 1,427 parts showcasing Messi’s finger-pointing celebration, highlighting his iconic number 10 striped jersey, and includes many subtle details referencing his life and career journey.

The highlight is the World Cup trophy figure, priced at 199.99 US dollars, approximately 6,551.87 baht.
