Absent: Star French Player Left Out of 26-Man Squad for 2026 World Cup

The "Les Bleus" French national team has officially announced the 26 players selected for the 2026 World Cup competition.

Didier Deschamps, head coach of the French national team, has announced the 26 players to participate in the 2026 World Cup. Leading the team are Kylian Mbappé, the forward from Real Madrid, and Ousmane Dembélé, the skillful winger from Paris Saint-Germain. However, Eduardo Camavinga from Real Madrid is not included in the squad.

Deschamps said, "Of course, there are very high expectations and demands. That is our responsibility because reaching this stage means we have won more matches than our rivals. Being one of the favorites is natural, but there are still other strong teams. I can name six or seven teams. This is the World Cup, the greatest competition where the best teams are all present."

The list of 26 French national team players is as follows:

Defenders: Lucas Digne (Aston Villa), Malo Gusto (Chelsea), Lucas Hernandez (Paris Saint-Germain), Theo Hernandez (Al Hilal), Ibrahima Konaté (Liverpool), Maxence Lacroix (Crystal Palace), Jules Koundé (Barcelona), William Saliba (Arsenal), Dayot Upamecano (Bayern Munich).

Midfielders: N'Golo Kanté (Fenerbahçe), Manu Koné (Roma), Adrien Rabiot (AC Milan), Aurélien Tchouaméni (Real Madrid), Warren Zaïre-Emery (Paris Saint-Germain).
