On 19 May 2026, the Brazil national football team, led by Italian coach Carlo Ancelotti, officially announced its 26-player roster for the 2026 World Cup finals, which will be hosted by the United States, Canada, and Mexico.
Among the 26 players named this time is 34-year-old star Neymar from Santos, securing him a spot in his fourth consecutive World Cup final tournament since his first call-up in 2014, about 12 years ago.
Neymar last represented Brazil in October 2023, nearly two years ago. Prior to this, he was involved in controversies including allegations of assaulting Robinho’s child and being substituted due to a referee’s mistaken player change.
