Harry Maguire, defender for the "Red Devils" Manchester United, admitted he was shocked and deeply saddened after England manager Thomas Tuchel decided not to select him for the 2026 World Cup.
The 33-year-old Maguire has performed excellently this season, having played 22 Premier League matches and kept 7 clean sheets, but it was not enough to secure him a spot in the England squad for the upcoming 2026 World Cup.
Maguire stated, “Based on my performance throughout the season, I was confident I would have an important role and be able to help the England team this summer. I feel shocked and very upset about this decision.”
