Norway's King joined in announcing the 26-man squad for the 2026 FIFA World Cup, led by Erling Braut Haaland and Martin Ødegaard.


On 22 May 2026, the King of Norway took part in announcing the 26-man squad for the final stage of the 2026 FIFA World Cup, scheduled from 11 June to 19 July 2026. The tournament will be jointly hosted by the United States, Canada, and Mexico.

This 26-player squad is led by Erling Braut Haaland, the striker of the English Premier League runner-up Manchester City, known as the "Sky Blues," and Martin Ødegaard, midfielder from Arsenal, the reigning English Premier League champions.
