Noni Madueke, winger for the England national team, opens up after missing an open goal in the match where England thrashed Costa Rica.
Noni Madueke admitted he was very disappointed after breaking through on goal but hitting the post in the friendly match where England defeated Costa Rica 3-0.
However, the Arsenal winger remains optimistic, saying it's better to miss now than at the start of the 2026 World Cup tournament.
Madueke said, “I probably should have scored a goal. We had several chances, but I think the goals will come naturally. It's better to miss now than at the start of the tournament.”
“Actually, I should have used my right foot. It was clear the situation happened very quickly, but I should have scored. When the tournament starts, I will make sure to score.”
