Arsène Wenger, former Arsenal manager, has predicted which team will win the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
Arsène Wenger, former manager of the "Gunners" Arsenal, expressed confidence that the French national team, known as "Les Bleus," will claim the 2026 World Cup title, due to their many talented attacking players and an experienced coach.
"I rate them (France) above the other teams. France has many talented players, and Didier Deschamps has plenty of experience."
"We have many attacking players which could lead to imbalance in offense, but nowadays, modern players—even attackers—understand they must fulfill their defensive duties as well."
"When you are tied 0-0 with France with 20 minutes left, you end up losing that game. Precision and sharpness are what make the difference," Wenger said.
France won the 2018 World Cup in Russia but failed to defend their title four years later in Qatar, losing to Argentina in the final, a match that was decided only after a tense penalty shootout.
