Following their 7-1 victory over Curaçao last night, Germany became the national team with the highest number of goals scored in World Cup history, reaching 239 goals and surpassing Brazil's 238.
The four-time world champions have only missed the World Cup once, in 1950, and have consistently participated in all other tournaments. Of Germany's 239 World Cup goals, 16 were scored by Miroslav Klose, the top all-time scorer in World Cup history, followed by Gerd Müller with 14 goals and Jürgen Klinsmann with 11 goals.
