Neymar, the famous Brazilian national footballer, donated money to aid victims of the Venezuela earthquake before Barcelona added their contribution.
On 29 June 2026 GMT+7, Neymar, the Brazilian superstar attacking player, donated 250,000 US dollars, equivalent to 8.7 million baht, to assist victims of the severe earthquake in Venezuela.
Earlier, Venezuela experienced a 7.2-7.5 magnitude earthquake that occurred within less than a minute, causing severe damage, over 1,400 deaths, numerous missing persons, and assessments indicate the death toll may continue to rise significantly.
Neymar posted on his social media, “My heart is with all the people of Venezuela,” sending encouragement to the victims and the affected families.
Meanwhile, Barcelona's foundation announced an additional donation of 100,000 euros, about 3.8 million baht, to support the delivery of food, drinking water, medicine, and temporary shelter tents to those affected in the disaster area.
