The Portugal national team staged a dramatic comeback to defeat the Croatia national team and successfully advance to the Round of 16 in the 2026 World Cup.

At the 90+13th minute, Josko Gvardiol of Croatia fired a goal, but VAR ruled that Pašalić was offside before the play.

The match ended with Portugal defeating Croatia 2-1, advancing to the Round of 16 to face Spain on 7 July 2026 GMT+7.
