Argentina's national team coach has admitted to a tough struggle after their narrow win over Cape Verde.
Lionel Scaloni, coach of Argentina's national team, acknowledged that his team faced an extremely difficult game after defeating Cape Verde 2-1 in extra time during the 2026 World Cup Round of 32, securing their ticket to the Round of 16.
Scaloni said, "It was a very tough match. You always have to look on the bright side. This Argentina team never gives up."
"We have to congratulate our opponents. When people say there are no easy teams, they proved today that they are a great team."
For Argentina, the 2026 World Cup Round of 16 match will be against Egypt on 7 July 2026 at 23:00 Thailand time.
