Popular team targets Vozinha, Cape Verde's veteran goalkeeper to guard the net.
Italy’s well-known sports media outlet La Gazetta dello Sport reported that Inter Miami, a club in the U.S. Major League Soccer, is considering signing 40-year-old veteran Cape Verdean national team goalkeeper Vozinha.
Vozinha delivered an outstanding performance, playing a crucial role in helping Cape Verde reach the round of 32 at the 2026 World Cup before narrowly losing 2-3 to Argentina in a regrettable exit. Nonetheless, Vozinha's overall performance earned praise from fans worldwide, and Cape Verde set a record of not losing in 90 minutes in any match during this World Cup.
Currently a free agent, Vozinha is preparing to find a new club soon. According to the latest reports, Inter Miami, co-owned by David Beckham, is interested in signing him for the upcoming season. If this deal materializes, Vozinha will join forces with Argentine star Lionel Messi, whom he recently faced at the World Cup.
However, it may not be easy for Inter Miami, as Vozinha has become a highly sought-after goalkeeper that many clubs want to acquire.
