On 6 July 2026, an analysis of 50 players from the "War Elephants," Thailand's national football team led by English coach Anthony Hudson, was conducted ahead of their participation in the ASEAN Football Championship 2026 (ASEAN Hyundai Cup 2026), scheduled from 25 July to 8 August 2026.
On the "Clear Rim Sen" program by Thairath Sport, hosted by "Jay" Worapat Arunphakdi, two experienced football experts, "Nanong Trongkham" Jamnong Songkuea and "Bubble" Yingrak Raksuwan, shared their views. "Nanong Trongkham" Jamnong Songkuea said, "From the list I know, I think the team still has a chance. Some of the players selected by the coach are mainly from the U-23 squad, while the senior team consists of a few experienced players to support the team."
Meanwhile, "Bubble" Yingrak Raksuwan stated, "From the list I've seen, it reflects the current situation. It's neither bad nor great. Some players have never played together, so it's hard to say. The roster is still scattered, so it's difficult to judge. The group stage program is still manageable; we can survive because this is not the best squad. The aim this time is just to get through, and plans for the next tournament are already set."
