FIFA has announced the referees for the 2026 World Cup final match between the national teams of Spain and Argentina.

Slovenian referee Slavko Vinčić will serve as the main official for this crucial match, considered one of the most important in football history. His officiating team includes first assistant referee Tomas Klančnik (Slovenia), second assistant referee Andraž Kovačič (Slovenia), fourth official Adham Makhadmeh (Jordan), and reserve assistant referee Mohammed Alkalaf (Jordan).
Slavko Vinčić, 46, has been a FIFA referee since 2010 and has officiated major finals such as the 2021-22 UEFA Europa League final between Eintracht Frankfurt and Rangers, and the 2023-24 UEFA Champions League final between Real Madrid and Borussia Dortmund. At this World Cup, he has refereed three matches: Brazil's 1-1 draw with Morocco, Jordan's 1-2 loss to Algeria, and Mexico's 2-0 victory over Ecuador.
