"Topps," the renowned card manufacturer, cleverly took the opportunity to sell "Justin Bieber" cards priced at 402 baht immediately after the halftime show of the 2026 World Cup final between Spain and Argentina.
On 21 Jul 2026, Justin Bieber performed as one of the main artists during the 2026 World Cup final halftime show at New York-New Jersey Stadium (East Rutherford), New Jersey, USA, on 19 July 2026. The event featured surprise appearances by Jason Sudeikis and Brendan Hunt as Ted Lasso and Coach Beard, who introduced Bieber to perform a remake version of "Everything Hallelujah," alongside a world-class lineup including Madonna, Shakira, Burna Boy, BTS, and Coldplay.
Immediately after the performance, Topps, the famous trading card company, launched sales of the "Justin Bieber - 2026 Topps NOW - Card JB01" starting at $11.99 (approximately 402 baht). The special selling point was a chance to receive a live autograph card, which social media images described as a 1/1 autograph card—meaning only one exists worldwide.
The unique feature was that the 1/1 autograph card would be randomly given to buyers of the base card within 72 hours of the sale launch—the same method Topps used with Stephen Curry and LeBron James cards during the Olympics, where over 88,735 base cards were sold before a lucky buyer found the 1/1 card after almost six months. If repeated, this would mark the first time Justin Bieber has an autograph on a collectible card, instantly energizing card collectors worldwide.
