
Boom-Bim Chatchu-on Moksri spoke openly after receiving the captain's armband for the Thailand women's national volleyball team for the first time, revealing the excellent training atmosphere ahead of the SEA Games.
On 2 December 2025, Boom-Bim Chatchu-on Moksri, a player on the Thailand women's national volleyball team, revealed a surprising announcement during training camp preparations for the 2025 SEA Games, which Thailand is hosting from 9 to 20 December. She was selected to serve as the national team captain for the first time in her career.
Chatchu-on shared her immediate feelings upon receiving the good news:
"I was surprised that my turn came so quickly. I feel honored to have this responsibility and will do my best."
Regarding the training atmosphere and overall team condition, Boom-Bim stated:
"The team system is quite good; it feels like we've been training together continuously. The training atmosphere has improved a lot, and we will give it our all."
She also invited Thai sports fans to cheer for both the men’s and women’s volleyball teams, as well as athletes in all sports.
"I invite all fans to come and support us, both men's and women's volleyball teams, and other sports representing Thailand, as we aim to win gold medals at this SEA Games on home soil."
The Thailand women's national volleyball team is placed in Group A along with the Philippines and Singapore, with competitions scheduled from 10 to 19 December.
First match: 10 December vs. Singapore.
Second match: 11 December vs. the Philippines.
The clear goal is to defend the SEA Games gold medal consecutively, as the Thai national team has historically won 16 gold medals and secured 12 consecutive golds from 2001 to 2023.
