Thailand Defeats Vietnam 3-0, Yameen Boasts: I Gave My All, Critics Hold Your Words for Now

The Thai men's volleyball team defeated Vietnam 3-0. "Yameen" boasted, "I gave my all, so hold your criticisms for now, folks."

On 17 Dec 2025, following the men's volleyball SEA Games match at Huamark Indoor Stadium, the first-round Group A game that decided the group champion took place. The Thai team performed excellently, starting strong, launching varied attacks, and maintaining a solid defense before beating Vietnam in straight sets 3-0 with scores of 25-23, 25-19, and 25-17. This victory marked their third consecutive win, advancing them to the next round as Group A champions.


One player who received much praise was “Yameen” Krisada Nilsawai, who scored 14 points, including 10 successful attacks with a 100% success rate and 4 points from blocks.

After the match, Yameen shared, “This is just the first step. To those who criticized me, hold your words for now. Today, I gave my all, folks. This 3-0 win is for you. We'll talk again next time, but right now, I’m single too.”

In the next round, the young Thai volleyball players will face the Philippines, runner-up of Group B, in the semifinals on Thursday, 18 Dec 2025. Meanwhile, Vietnam, finishing second in Group A, will play against Indonesia, the Group B champions, who are 12-time former champions and have won gold three consecutive times.
