Badminton result: "Viw Kullawut" led before losing to "Loh Kean Yew," exiting in the India Open quarterfinals.
On 16 January 2026, the India Open 2026, a BWF World Tour Super 750 badminton tournament, is taking place in India from 13 to 18 January.
In the men's singles quarterfinals, "Viw" Kullawut Vitidsarn, world No. 2 and second seed, faced Loh Kean Yew, world No. 10 from Singapore and eighth seed, who is the 2021 former world champion.
The two have met nine times before, with Kullawut leading with eight wins to Loh's one. In the first game, Kullawut started strong and won 21-14.
However, Loh Kean Yew raised his level in the next two games and narrowly won 2-1 with scores 14-21, 21-15, and 21-17. The match lasted 1 hour and 10 minutes. Loh advanced to the semifinals while Kullawut ended his run but improved on last year's performance, when he was eliminated in the first round.
