On 17 Jan 2026 GMT+7, Furi Kusa and Ayano Sato, two setters of Quinceys Kariya in Japan's SV.LEAGUE, reviewed the work of "Sara" Nussara Tomkom, the legendary Thai national team setter, who currently serves both as player and setter coach for the team. They unanimously acknowledged that Nussara excels remarkably in both roles.
Both shared that as a coach, Nussara delivers clear, easy-to-understand, and precise advice, while as a player, she demonstrates advanced techniques and skills too difficult for them to imitate.
Furi Kusa said, “Coach Nussara provides very precise and easy-to-understand instructions. As a player, she possesses many skills that we truly cannot follow.”
Ayano Sato added, “When we ask Coach Nussara about things we don’t understand, she always answers directly and even offers more than we ask. Her attitude and dedication to sharing all she knows make us feel very grateful. As a player, she performs moves that we cannot do. It’s fascinating and amazing. Seeing it up close feels like a dream.”
