Pink Pitchamon Opens Up About Mental Struggles Before Reaching First Ever Indonesia Masters Super 500 Final

"Pink" Pitchamon Opasnipat revealed the mental pressure and hand tremors she faced before reaching the Super 500 final for the first time in her life.

On 24 Jan 2026 GMT+7, "Pink" Pitchamon Opasnipat, a rising Thai badminton player, opened up about her challenging path after qualifying for the Indonesia Masters 2026 final, a BWF World Tour Super 500 event, for the first time in her career.

Pitchamon spoke with excitement:

"I feel very excited and proud of myself because I have really worked very hard to reach this match."

After winning the World Junior Championship in 2023, the 18-year-old admitted that the success brought immense pressure.

"At first, I felt a lot of pressure and deep emotions, so I spoke with a doctor because I felt overwhelmed. The doctor advised me on how to handle the pressure, how to live with it, and take care of my mental health. I also tried not to spend too much time on social media."

Pink also revealed that her biggest obstacle over the past two years was a mental health issue that directly affected her physically.

"It was hand tremors. During competitions over the past two years, my hands would shake due to a lot of pressure. But now I feel that my future is brighter."

In the final, "Pink" Pitchamon Opasnipat will face a tough challenge against "Chen Yu Fei," the tournament's No. 1 seed and world No. 5 from China, on Sunday, 25 Jan GMT+7.
