Jutta Leerdam Sets New Record with Auction of 2026 Winter Olympics Gold Medal Racing Suit, Surpassing Ronaldo

"Jutta Leerdam" concluded the auction of her racing suit worn to win gold at the 2026 Winter Olympics, surpassing the previous record held by "Ronaldo" to become the most expensive sports memorabilia on MWS.

Jutta Leerdam, a Dutch female speed skater and fiancée of Jake Paul, a gold medalist at the 2026 Winter Olympics, has made new history in sports collectibles after her racing suit was auctioned for as much as 195,000 euros, approximately 7.2 million baht.

The suit was worn during the Milan-Cortina 2026 competition, where she delivered a strong performance to win the gold medal in the 1,000 meters and silver in the 500 meters. The auction took place on the MatchWornShirt (MWS) platform.

A fierce "price war" broke out until the auction closed with a Dutch winner. Notably, the 195,000 euro figure shattered the previous record set by "Cristiano Ronaldo," the Portuguese national football star, by nearly three times.

Previously, the Portuguese national team jersey from their match against Hungary on 14 October 2025, during the 2026 World Cup qualifiers, was auctioned on MatchWornShirt (MWS) for as high as 62,606 euros (approximately 2,230,000 baht), holding the title of the "most expensive memorabilia" on the site for a long time.

All proceeds will be donated by Jutta Leerdam to IJsvereniging Pijnacker (IJVP), her local skating club where she trained as a child, to provide funding and inspiration for young athletes in her hometown.
