Two fellow Koreans, Han Aram and Lee Ye-won, shared second place with scores of 6 under par 66. Thai golfers Namitra Jantanaket and Natthakrita Wongtavilap were the top Thai performers, both finishing at 5 under par 67, three strokes behind the leader after the first round. The event is the professional KLPG Tour Rejuran Championship, with a total prize fund of 1.2 billion won (approximately 22.44 million baht), held from 12-15 March 2026 at the Amata Spring Country Club, a par-72 course in Chonburi. The first round on Thursday, 12 March 2026, featured 120 competitors.
This tournament is the 2026 season opener for the Korean Ladies Professional Golf Association (KLPG Tour). It is a four-day, 72-hole stroke play event, with a cut after 36 holes reducing the field to the top 60 plus ties who proceed to the final two days to compete for the prize money. The KLPG Tour is organized with main sponsorship from Rejuran Farmarresearch, alongside partners including the Tourism Authority of Thailand, Amazing Thailand, K-Food, K-Berry, Thai Post, UIH, TP.Millis, VAC, Nolbu, Monkey Travel, Smith and Leather, Golf Pride, SBS Golf, Golf Plus, and Quod Sports.
After the first round on Thursday, 12 March 2026, 23-year-old Park Dan-yu from South Korea delivered an exciting performance by making four consecutive birdies from holes 1 to 4. She then bogeyed the par-5 seventh hole due to a three-putt, but regained a birdie on the par-3 eighth hole. In the final nine holes, she made four more birdies at holes 12, 14, 15, and 16 without any bogeys, finishing with a total score of 8 under par 64 to lead solo. Han Aram and Lee Ye-won, also from South Korea, shared second place at 6 under par 66, each with six birdies and no bogeys.
Park Dan-yu, the leader, said after the round, "Overall, I started well, with especially good putting. Previously, during practice in Hanoi, Vietnam, I tightened up my swing, which helped my game perform well. The bogey on the par-5 seventh hole was from a three-putt after the third shot reached the green. For the remaining three days, I will focus on my game and aim to play according to my plan."
Oh So-min, a South Korean amateur golfer and two-time runner-up at the Asia-Pacific Championship, finished this round tied for fourth place with a score of 5 under par 67. She shared this position with Thailand's Namitra Jantanaket from Phayao province, Natthakrita Wongtavilap from Chonburi, and four other South Korean golfers: Hwang Yuna, Lim Jinyoung, Im Jinyoung, and Yo Hyunju.
Oh So-min revealed, "There were some mistakes, but I am quite satisfied with my performance after the round. It was my first time playing at this course and I felt a bit tense at the start, but once I settled in, I found my rhythm. The group was relaxed and supportive throughout the round. I admit I was a bit nervous, but I will practice hard. The wind was strong today, so for the remaining three days, I need to conserve energy to fight hard."
Thai golfer Namitra Jantanaket said after the competition, "This is my first international tournament and the biggest event I will play this year. The course and organization here are excellent, which inspires my game. I am very happy to participate. Today, my iron shots and putting were quite good for this course. Although I have played here about ten times before, this is my first official competition. On the 17th hole, I aimed directly at the flag and got close enough for a birdie putt, which I made. For the remaining rounds, I will try to keep my drives in the fairway more because I felt my driving was not so good today."
Natthakrita Wongtavilap from Chonburi said, "I am pleased with my game, especially my shots from 70-120 yards, which gave me birdie chances on several holes. The windy conditions today were not as challenging as I had feared. However, I missed scoring opportunities because I made decisions too quickly and lacked precision. I hope to perform better tomorrow."
Other Thai golfers finished as follows: Jaravee Boonjun tied for 27th place with a total score of 2 under par 70. Chakanksim Kambon and Orkanok Soisuang tied for 44th with 1 under par 71. Kanj Bannabodee tied for 54th place along with Kalyanat Saithip and Thanaporn Phalitwanon, all with even-par 72.
