Chang-GENZ Kicks Off First Tournament Bangchak Open to Select Junior Golfers for Japan and U.S. Dreams

The grand youth golf season "Chang-GENZ Golf Tour 2026" (Chang-GENZ Golf Tour 2026) is set to begin its 5th consecutive year with the first event, "Bangchak Open 2026," from 27-29 March at Khao Yai Country Club in Nakhon Ratchasima Province, aiming to discover top young Thai golfers to advance to the international stage.

This year, "The GENZ" continues focusing on inspiring and providing rare opportunities for young golfers. A key highlight is opening doors to the international arena. The top six golfers with the best cumulative scores from the first three tournaments in the Junior GENZ (ages 11-14) and Super GENZ (ages 15-18) categories, both male and female, will earn the right to compete in the Yonex Junior Golf Championship 2026 in Japan. Additionally, the male winner of the Super GENZ category at the first event, "Bangchak Open 2026," will receive a direct invitation to travel to the United States for intensive golf training and competition.

To promote Thai youth to a global profile, this year's competitions are internationally recognized for point accumulation. The first, fourth, and fifth tournaments are WAGR sanctioned, featuring 3-day (54-hole) formats to allow Super GENZ and Special GENZ golfers to earn World Amateur Golf Ranking points. Moreover, all five tournaments this season will have results recorded in the Junior Golf Scoreboard (JGS), an essential database used when applying for scholarships abroad. Additionally, 12 skilled golfers will be selected for the GENZ CREW program based on top cumulative scores (ranks 1-3) in Super GENZ and Junior GENZ categories (both genders) after all five tournaments, granting them special entry to the 2027 competitions at no cost.

This year is even more special with an expanded Genz Golf Camp, in collaboration with Golfing Ground and Flow Code, led by world expert Hallam Morgan, who will share techniques on mental game skills to help Thai youth athletes develop composure and concentration on par with professional players.
