Ann Thongprasom revealed behind the scenes of teaming up with James Ji to compete in the HYROX challenge, struggling from the very first station — James experienced cramps.
On 22 Mar 2026 GMT+7, Ann Thongprasom and James Jirayu Tangtrakul, two well-known actors, participated in the HYROX Thailand 2026 mixed doubles event at the Bangkok International Trade and Exhibition Centre (BITEC) Bangna on 21 March 2026 GMT+7. They completed the competition in 1:23:42 hours.
After the race, Ann Thongprasom posted, “In my first marathon ever, James tricked me into running… I saw stars. For this HYROX, I claim the right to invite again. We must compete as a team!”
“When I signed up, I didn’t know it used the men’s weight. I almost withdrew, afraid it wouldn’t be fair! I trained hard for two months, knowing my strength wasn’t very good. On race day, I was so nervous, my heart was pounding from the first station to the end! The techniques I practiced kept slipping from my mind—I’d remember, then forget! I was confused myself.”
“James got cramps during the Farmer’s Carry (carrying weights while walking). I was carrying mine and called him several times, but he didn’t respond. My heart sank (when he goes silent, it’s scary). But we gritted our teeth and finished together!”
