Tiger Woods Arrested for DUI After Rollover Crash in Florida

A major shock hit the world of golf when Tiger Woods, the legendary golfer, was arrested on charges of driving under the influence (DUI) after a rollover car accident near Jupiter Island, Florida, USA, on 27 March 2026.

On 28 March 2026, Tiger Woods was arrested for DUI following a rollover crash. Woods was driving and attempted to overtake a truck that was about to turn, but misjudged and struck the rear of the semi-truck forcefully, causing his vehicle to lose control, roll onto its side, and skid along the road.

However, Woods managed to safely exit the vehicle through the passenger side door, and the truck driver was also unharmed.

After the incident, Woods agreed to a breathalyzer test, which returned a zero reading with no alcohol detected. However, he refused to undergo a further urine test, leading authorities to suspect possible drug or substance use affecting his driving.

Initially, Woods was charged with DUI, causing property damage, and refusal to submit to testing—all classified as misdemeanor offenses under Florida law—resulting in a minimum detention period of 8 hours.

This incident occurred just days after Woods had returned to competitive golf for the first time in over a year at the TGL Finals, shocking sports fans worldwide.

Donald Trump, the U.S. President and a close friend of Woods, expressed concern, saying, "I feel very sorry. He is a wonderful person."

Although no one was injured in the incident, the charges could inevitably impact the reputation of Woods, one of the greatest golfers of all time.
