LEGO makes a big splash by featuring Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi to promote its World Cup collection, transforming them into cutting-edge minifigures.
On 2 Apr 2026 GMT+7, LEGO, the world-famous toy brand, enlisted football legends Cristiano Ronaldo, captain of Portugal's national team, and Lionel Messi, captain of Argentina's national team, to star in a commercial promoting the special "LEGO FIFA World Cup 2026" collection in anticipation of the World Cup.
LEGO kicked off the World Cup 2026 festivities by creating minifigures of four football icons — Cristiano Ronaldo, Lionel Messi, Vinícius Júnior, and Kylian Mbappé — marking a first in the company's history.
This collection offers three types of sets to choose from:
Football Highlights,
which focuses on action scenes capturing key moments of each player in a cinematic style. Each set is built on a base shaped like the player's initial letter, featuring color schemes inspired by their national teams, jersey numbers, collectible plaques, and LEGO minifigures of the players to bring the moments vividly to life.

Display-sized models of Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi.
The CR7 model, consisting of 854 pieces, can be built to depict his signature "Siuuu" celebration or his iconic bicycle kick. The set includes a large CR7 backdrop, printed plaques, specially molded new face pieces, and a newly designed football.
The Messi model contains 958 LEGO pieces and can also be built in two ways: his finger-pointing goal celebration or a dribbling pose that captures his agility on the field. The set features a large number 10, the letters spelling MESSI, and printed name plaques.

Presented as a 3D wall art piece, this set includes 1,427 pieces showcasing Messi's finger-pointing celebration, highlighting his iconic striped number 10 jersey. It also conceals numerous subtle details referencing his life and career journey.
The collection's highlight is a replica of the World Cup trophy, priced at 199.99 US dollars, approximately 6,551.87 Thai baht.
