Deserving of This Stage! Fifa Pongsapak Closes The Masters with Three Consecutive Birdies, Confident to Compete at World Level

Deserving of this stage! Fifa Pongsapak closed out The Masters with three consecutive birdies, confident in his ability to compete at the world level.

11 April 2026 GMT+7 — Although he did not make the cut, the name “Fifa” Pongsapak Laophakdee, a rising Thai amateur golfer, has already earned a place in the hearts of golf fans after showing great determination by making three consecutive birdies in the final three holes of the second round at The Masters 2026.

Fifa finished the tournament with a total score of 11 over par (76-75). Despite missing the chance to play on Saturday and Sunday, he shared his feelings after the competition with a positive attitude, calling it the most valuable week and said he did not feel disappointed with his final score.

“It was an amazing week,” Fifa said with a smile. “We shouldn’t be upset about unfavorable results. Instead, it’s a time to enjoy and learn from legendary pros like Fred Couples and Min Woo Lee. I tried to absorb as much as I could.”

The turning point that boosted Fifa’s confidence was his surge of three consecutive birdies to end the second round. He views this as proof that he can compete at the major level.

“Although the score might not fully reflect what I did, I think I played well. Once I relaxed and got used to the course, my game improved immediately. It shows I can play at this level. I belong here and can’t wait to return to compete again.”

In this event, Fifa Pongsapak made history as the first male Thai golfer to compete in The Masters, one of the most prestigious tournaments in the world of golf.
