It became a smile-inducing moment when “Beam” Pimphichaya Gkgramy, the star libero of the Thai national team, German league champion, and key spiker for the French club Vandoeuvre Nancy (VNVB), paused her fierce spiking to take on the role of a photographer at a club event.
On 23 Apr 2026, stories shared images of “Queen Beam” Pimphichaya Gkgramy, Thai women's national volleyball player, holding a fully equipped camera and carefully framing shots during a VNVB event in France’s top league, earning her the nickname “Beem Photographer” from teammates and staff.
This event was "Exception'ELLES," a special VNVB project aimed at inspiring and connecting athletes with fans, as well as promoting the women's team image beyond just competition on the court.
Currently, Pimphichaya is performing excellently with VNVB, recently making history by leading the team to the final of the "Coupe de France 2026" and serving as the team's key scorer in the French league this season.
Though on the court she is known as the “fierce spiker as if angry at someone,” off the court “Queen Beam” clearly brings energy and a great atmosphere to the team, whether as an athlete or as this "new photographer"!
