Coach Odd, head coach of Thailand's women's national volleyball team, shared an overview of the Thai women's players' test matches ahead of the Asian Club Championship. He acknowledged it is a short knockout tournament with limited playing time but expressed confidence that every player will give their best performance representing their clubs and will be key contributors to their teams.
On 23 April 2026, the head coach said some players are still new to the international stage, especially young Sarah, who recently had the chance to play for Haru Dot club. This experience is important for her development. Although immediate standout results are not expected, competing in real matches will boost her confidence and improve her skills in the future.
Regarding the Thai national team’s activities, full training sessions are scheduled to begin next week after players gradually finish their commitments with overseas clubs. Some players are still competing, such as Toey Hattaya, who remains in the championship race, and Chompoo Pornpan, who still has matches to play. Meanwhile, Beam Pimphicha is coordinating her return travel plans.
Additionally, Nan and Boom Boom are expected to rejoin the team soon. Boom Boom is currently undergoing physical therapy in Japan and will return to join the team immediately after completing her rehabilitation.
Finally, Coach Odd emphasized that overall preparations for the Thai women's volleyball team are progressing well. All players maintain continuous communication with the staff and have participated in meetings to clarify plans, ensuring a clear understanding of their duties and goals. The team is ready to fully commit to competing internationally this year.
