
The Volleyball Association, together with Thai Union Group Public Company Limited, is organizing the 2026 "Select" Thailand Volleyball Championship, featuring both indoor and beach volleyball competitions across five categories from youth to adult levels.
Mr. Somporn Chaibangyang, President of the Volleyball Association of Thailand, chaired the press conference for the 2026 "Select" Thailand Volleyball Championship. Present were Air Force Lieutenant Charnrit Wongprasert, honorary secretary and executive chairman of the Volleyball Association of Thailand; Ms. Natavee Wachirataveepat, General Manager of Emerging Markets at Thai Union Group Public Company Limited; Mr. Subin Thongnoi, Director of Municipal School 1 (Yiamkasuwan); Assistant Professor Nat Kaewsakul, Assistant President of Rajamangala University of Technology Thanyaburi; and Mr. Phait Chaiyabat, Head of Sports and Health Promotion, Student Development Division, Suan Sunandha Rajabhat University. The event took place in the Sky Room, 18th floor, Alexander Hotel, Ramkhamhaeng Road, Bangkok, on 28 April.
Mr. Somporn Chaibangyang, President of the Volleyball Association of Thailand, stated, "The ‘Select’ volleyball competitions, both indoor and beach volleyball, serve as a crucial foundation for the development of volleyball in Thailand. We are grateful to Thai Union Group Public Company Limited, the global leader in canned seafood under the ‘Select’ brand, for their longstanding support of our activities. This event is vital for nurturing Thai volleyball players across all age groups, especially youth players who progress to the national teams, from youth levels up to the senior national team. Almost all current national players have participated in this event."
Ms. Natavee Wachirataveepat, General Manager of Emerging Markets at Thai Union Group Public Company Limited, expressed, "Thai Union Group is proud and delighted to have continuously supported the Volleyball Association since its inception, now for over 30 years. Mr. Subin Thongnoi, Director of Municipal School 1 (Yiamkasuwan), said, "With experience hosting various volleyball competitions organized by the Volleyball Association of Thailand, our gymnasium at Municipal School 1 in Samut Prakan Province is fully prepared in every aspect to ensure the competition is successfully and smoothly conducted, leaving a positive impression on all parties involved."
Assistant Professor Nat Kaewsakul, Assistant President of Rajamangala University of Technology Thanyaburi, and Assistant Professor Anong Rakwong, Director of the Health and Sports Promotion Division at the university, stated, "Rajamangala University of Technology Thanyaburi is co-hosting the ‘Select’ volleyball competition for the men’s category C (amateurs) at the 2026 Thailand Championship. We have prepared the competition venue to meet standards and ensured that all relevant staff involved in the event are ready according to the association’s requirements to guarantee a smooth and successful competition."
Mr. Phait Chaiyabat, Head of Sports and Health Promotion, Student Development Division, Suan Sunandha Rajabhat University, said, "Suan Sunandha Rajabhat University is hosting the ‘Select’ volleyball competitions for both the women’s category C and men’s category B at the 2026 Thailand Championship. We have prepared venues to meet the association's standards and assigned experienced staff for event organization to ensure the competition is conducted successfully and leaves a positive impression on all participating teams."
The 2026 "Select" Thailand Volleyball Championship consists of five events: 1. The Youth Boys and Girls 'Select' Volleyball Thailand Championship 2026, competing for the Royal Trophy of Her Royal Highness Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn, held from 18 April to 2 May 2026 at Municipal School 1 (Yiamkasuwan).
2. The Men’s Category C 'Select' Volleyball Thailand Championship 2026, scheduled from 4 to 19 May 2026 at Rajamangala University of Technology Thanyaburi, Pathum Thani Province.
3. The Women’s Category C 'Select' Volleyball Thailand Championship 2026, from 6 to 13 May 2026 at Suan Sunandha Rajabhat University.
4. The Men’s Category B 'Select' Volleyball Thailand Championship 2026, from 25 to 31 June 2026 at Suan Sunandha Rajabhat University.
5. The Under-20 Beach Volleyball 'Sisaket - Select' Thailand Championship 2026, taking place from 27 to 30 June 2026 at the National Sports University, Sisaket Campus, Sisaket Province.
