Sasipaporn Credits Weight Loss for Boosting Form, Leading Korat to Asian Club Championship Final

Aomsin Sasipaporn revealed that losing weight helped improve her form, leading Nakhon Ratchasima to the Asian Club Championship final.

On 30 April 2026, following the AVC Women’s Champions League 2026 semifinals, Nakhon Ratchasima 3M Films defeated Supreme Thipya Chonburi-E.Tech in a thrilling five-set match (21-25, 20-25, 25-20, 29-31, and 12-15). This victory marked the Cat Devils’ first appearance in the final in five years and secured their ticket to the FIVB Volleyball Women's Club World Championship.

One key contributor to today’s win was Aomsin Sasipaporn Chanthavisut, who scored 14 points. Sasipaporn acknowledged that the team was initially not fully settled but improved as they adjusted. "Today everyone played well and helped each other. Early on, we weren’t quite in sync, but overall, we succeeded," she said.

Regarding the secret to their success, she pointed to team unity. "I think being united made the difference. Sometimes it feels like everyone is celebrating individually, but when we come together as one, the team performs better."

Sasipaporn also noted that her high scoring in this match was partly due to losing 5 kilograms, which enhanced her agility and movement on the court.

"I feel like I jump lighter now, and my movements are much better compared to before, especially when I warm up and stretch properly," she explained.

In the final, Nakhon Ratchasima 3M Films will face Japan’s NEC Red Rockets on 30 April 2026 at 19:00 at The Mall Lifestore Bangkapi. Sasipaporn admitted that the Japanese team has a strong defense and stressed the importance of thorough preparation. "The Japanese team is tough, but we won’t underestimate them. We’ll do our best for the team," she said.
