On 15 May 2026, at the World Tour Super 500 badminton tournament "Toyota Thailand Open 2026" for the King’s Cup, held at Nimibutr Hall, National Stadium, Pathumwan, in the quarterfinals, “Bas” Dechapol Puavaranukroh and “Fem” Supissara Paewsampran, the world’s third-ranked mixed doubles and top seeds, faced Yeh Hong Wei and Nicole Gonzales Chan, world number 10 and fifth seeds from Taiwan.
The match was exciting and closely contested amid loud cheers from Thai badminton fans packed in the stadium. Bas and Fem defeated Yeh Hong Wei and Nicole Gonzales Chan 2-1 games, with scores of 21-17, 20-22, 21-10, in a 57-minute match.
Bas Dechapol Puavaranukroh and Fem Supissara Paewsampran advanced to the semifinals, where they will face the Chinese pair Chu Yi Jun and Li Qian, ranked 45th in the world.
