
At age 31, "May" Ratchanok clinched her first championship of 2026 by defeating the top seed to win the Malaysia Masters.
On 24 May 2026, the Malaysia Masters 2026 badminton tournament, a World Tour Super 500 event, was held at the Unifi Arena in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
In the women's singles final, "May" Ratchanok Intanon, the tournament's second seed, world number 7, and two-time former champion, defeated top seed and world number 4 Chen Yufei of China in an exciting straight-sets victory, 21-17 and 21-15.
"May" Ratchanok Intanon secured her third Malaysia Masters title, having previously won in 2018 and 2019, as well as her first championship of 2026. She received a prize of $37,500 USD, approximately 1,222,500 baht.
Additionally, May Ratchanok claimed her first title of 2026 at age 31, while runner-up Chen Yufei earned $19,000 USD, about 619,400 baht in prize money.
