Pimphichaya and Thaddao Speak Honestly After Thailand Womens Volleyball Teams Loss to China in VNL 2026

Pimphichaya and Thaddao shared their thoughts after the Thailand women's national volleyball team lost to China in the second match of the 2026 Volleyball Nations League.

Following the Thailand women's volleyball team's 2-3 set loss to the "Dragon Ladies" of China, with scores of 14-25, 26-24, 19-25, 25-23, and 7-15, in the FIVB Women's Volleyball Nations League 2026, Week 1, Match 2,

After the game, Pimphichaya Kokram said: “I think there are still small details in some moments where we weren't calm enough or stable. This match was a learning experience, and all the younger players who got to play now know how to perform. Today, we improved a lot compared to the last game. We will go back, make adjustments, and prepare for the next match.”

Thaddao Nuk-ngaeng said: “Today, our overall play was quite good. Our first contact was very solid, but the beginning of the sets were not quite locked in or smooth yet.”

Asked how winning two sets against China boosted their confidence, Thaddao replied: “Right now, the team feels locked in; everyone can regain their confidence. However, mistakes still occur in serve reception and blocking. Personally, I regret not being able to contribute more to blocking today, which caused our game to slip a bit.”

Pimphichaya asked for support: “I want to thank all the fans for cheering us on continuously. We still have an important match coming up, so please keep supporting us.”

The Thailand women's national volleyball team will next compete in the Volleyball Nations League 2026 Week 1 Match 3 against the Belgium women's national volleyball team on 6 June at 14:00 Thailand time.
