"Beam Pimpichaya" speaks frankly after the Thai women's volleyball team led before losing to Belgium in the VNL 2026 Week 1 Match 3.
On 6 June 2026, Beam Pimpichaya Kokram, the standout opposite hitter of the Thai women's national volleyball team, gave an interview after the VNL 2026 (FIVB Women's Volleyball Nations League 2026) Week 1 Match 3 in Nanjing, People's Republic of China.
In this match, the Thai women's volleyball team led 2-0 in sets but could not maintain their advantage, ultimately suffering a close 2-3 defeat to Belgium with set scores of 25-20, 25-22, 23-25, 22-25, 14-16.
Beam Pimpichaya shared her thoughts on Thailand being overtaken by Belgium, saying, "It's disappointing, but Belgium played well. They came back to win sets 3, 4, and 5 in the latter stages. We still have many things to improve, and today I myself was not decisive enough. I will work on improving those areas."
"(How did you feel watching from the sidelines, seeing your teammates on the court?) Everyone fought hard today with nothing to lose. We really wanted to win, and we gave it our all."
"Please continue to support us, fans. We will do our best and fight with all our might."
In VNL 2026 Week 1 Match 4, the Thai women's volleyball team will face the Czech Republic on Sunday, 7 June at 10:30 a.m. Thai time. Currently, Thailand has earned 2 points from two 2-3 set losses and stands 16th out of 18 teams.
