"The Wolf Juniors" TJ Pannawich Wangjaisuk claims the Thailand Junior World Tour Season 2 E-Boy points championship, finishes 3rd overall, and secures a spot to compete in Japan.
"TJ," boy Pannawich Wangjaisuk, nicknamed "The Wolf Juniors," a rising young Thai golfer, delivered an outstanding performance to close the season by winning the Thailand Junior World Tour (TJWT) Season 2 E-Boy points championship, finishing 3rd overall in the final round, and earning the right to represent Thailand at the international Golf Digest Japan Junior Cup in Japan.
The Thailand Junior World Tour Season 2 final round took place on 14 June 2026 at Phoenix Gold Golf Bangkok. Young golfers from various age categories competed for the season championship title and the chance to compete internationally.
This year's final round was one of the most intense and challenging events of the season, using a Gross Score system combining all classes without handicaps. This meant all golfers competed purely on skill for only three spots offering sponsorship to participate in the Golf Digest Japan Junior Cup in Japan, making every shot critical and every position fiercely contested until the final hole.
In the final round, TJ played excellently, scoring 36-37 for a total of 73 (+1), including 5 birdies on holes 1, 2, 9, 14, and 15. This earned him 1st place in the E-Boy category and tied for 3rd overall among all classes.
With consistent performance throughout the season, TJ accumulated 385 points, proudly claiming the Thailand Junior World Tour Season 2 E-Boy points championship after winning multiple tournaments during the season.
This year's success continued TJ's excellent form, following his 2025 season points championship in the F category before moving up to the E category, where he maintained high standards to again secure the season points title. This back-to-back points championship in two categories highlights his progress, consistency, and potential as a rising young golfer.
However, the day's highlight did not end there. TJ had to face a playoff against another golfer after finishing tied for 3rd overall to claim the final spot representing Thailand at the Golf Digest Japan Junior Cup in Japan.
The playoff took place at hole 9, a par 5 on the South Course of Phoenix Gold Golf Bangkok, using a sudden death format to determine a single winner. If still tied, a 20-yard chip shot would decide the outcome.
During the playoff, both golfers hit excellent drives off the tee. The contest came down to the second shot when TJ chose to use a 3-wood (FW3) to play aggressively for a two-shot approach. Before hitting, he told his father and caddie that he aimed to land the ball on the left side of the green.
TJ executed a fade shot from the left as planned, successfully reaching the green in two shots and setting up an eagle opportunity, while his opponent played more conservatively, aiming for a birdie chance on the next shot.
Once on the green, TJ carefully read the putt line and slope before confidently attempting an eagle putt. The ball rolled beautifully but narrowly missed the hole. Nevertheless, both TJ and his opponent made birdies, keeping the tie and forcing the contest to be decided by a 20-yard chip shot.
In the final short game showdown, TJ demonstrated remarkable composure and fighting spirit beyond his years, chipping the ball closer to the flag than his opponent. This clinched his playoff victory and the right to represent Thailand at the Golf Digest Japan Junior Cup in Japan from 3-7 August 2026.
After the competition, TJ said, "I'm very happy to have won the season points championship and grateful for the chance to compete in Japan. The playoff was quite stressful, but I focused on each shot and followed the plan."
His father, Toon – Piyapong Wangjaisuk, remarked, "What makes me most proud is not just the results but TJ's development throughout the season—in discipline, emotional management, and decision-making under pressure. Today, he showed calmness and self-confidence, which are essential qualities for a growing athlete."
Coach Pro Nam – Thichalda Nithithirosakul, who oversees TJ, added, "The most admirable thing about TJ today wasn't just the results but his mindset and decision-making under pressure, especially during the playoff for the international spot. Choosing to use a 3-wood for an aggressive two-shot approach was a bold and confident decision, and TJ executed it as planned. This reflects clear progress in both his technical skills and mental game."
Winning the Season 2 E-Boy points championship alongside earning the right to represent Thailand at the Golf Digest Japan Junior Cup in Japan marks a significant milestone in the young golfer "The Wolf Juniors" TJ Pannawich Wangjaisuk's journey. He continues to develop his skills steadily and is ready to gain international experience to reach higher goals in the future.
