Acharaporn Reveals Birthday Gift After Thai Womens Volleyball Team Defeats Bulgaria in VNL 2026

"P'Pew" Acharaporn Kongyot opened up after the Thai women's national volleyball team beat Bulgaria to claim their first VNL 2026 victory.

Following the Thai women's national volleyball team's impressive performance, they decisively defeated Bulgaria 3-0 sets with scores of 25-22, 25-20, 25-17, earning 6 points and climbing from 17th to 14th place on the VNL 2026 leaderboard.

After the match, "P'Pew" Acharaporn Kongyot said, "This is a very happy birthday gift for me because before the match, I actually made a wish that we would win 3-0 as a birthday present. Everyone helped make that wish come true, so I'm very thankful and happiest right now."

"We believe we've matured enough to quickly move past the previous game because we knew we had to play again the next day. Dwelling on that match would have stopped us from moving forward. We had to let it go and later review the past games. But for now, we focused on the details of today's match against Bulgaria, and I think everyone did very well. Everyone truly started fresh, which is impressive."

"Thank you to the fans who came to support us at the venue, who still stand firmly behind us and believe in us. I'm truly grateful that everyone is still here by our side."

Next, the Thai women's volleyball team will compete in VNL 2026 Round 2, Match 3 against Canada, ranked 9th in the world, on Saturday, 20 June at 20:30.
