Sasipaporn Strikes a Chord Despite Thai Womens Volleyball Teams Loss to Turkey Ending VNL 2026

"Sasipaporn" makes a striking statement despite the Thai women's volleyball team losing to Turkey in the final of VNL 2026.

On 12 July 2026, Aomsin Sasipaporn Chantawisut, a key middle blocker of the Thai women's national volleyball team, gave an interview after the 4th match of the 3rd round of the 2026 Women's Nations League (VNL 2026) held in Osaka, Japan.

The Thai women's volleyball team lost to the 4th-ranked world team, Turkey, in a close 1-3 set match with scores of 27-25, 21-25, 19-25, 22-25. This concluded VNL 2026 across all three venues with 12 matches played: 3 wins, 9 losses, and 12 points.

This result means the Thai women's volleyball team will continue competing in the 2027 Women's Nations League, while Bulgaria was relegated. Regarding the defeat to Turkey, the Thai players said everyone fought with all their might.

Aomsin Sasipaporn Chantawisut spoke about facing Turkey, who fielded their best lineup against Thailand: "No excuses. Today was fun. They gave their all—so intense it was like they didn't let us get started at all."

"Yes, I was tightly marked. But... (laughs) I didn’t feel discouraged when I couldn’t score. I still wanted to hit more. I told P'Chom (Pornpan Kerdprasert) and Nooknik (Nattnicha Jaisan) to keep going, keep going. I wanted to prove myself and wasn’t afraid that I couldn’t play well."

Aomsin concluded about VNL 2026 before looking ahead to VNL 2027: "This year's VNL has ended. Thank you for all the encouragement and cheers everyone has sent."

"We did our best. Next year we'll be back. Please continue to support and cheer for us."
