TOYOTA GAZOO Racing Thailand overcame a grueling 8-hour test at the RAAT Thailand Endurance 2026, securing the championship podium in both the TC2 class and overall in Race 2 at Buriram.
TOYOTA GAZOO Racing Thailand, a major and continuously successful team in Thai motorsports for 40 years under the support of Toyota Motor Thailand Co., Ltd., advanced their performance at the RAAT Thailand Endurance Championship 2026, Round 2. They fielded a strong driver lineup to tackle the 8-hour endurance race, showcasing consistent strength in both car and driver by claiming first place in the TC2 class and overall at Chang International Circuit in Buriram Province.
The endurance challenge continued into Round 2 with an 8-hour race that increased the difficulty. The team fielded a full driver roster to prove the capabilities of the cars, drivers, and strategies throughout the intense competition. The drivers managed well, displaying remarkable stamina and strength until the race concluded with high intensity.
In the TC2 class, the team entered two Toyota Corolla Altis GR Sport cars. Car No. 19, driven by Sutthipong Samitchat, Nattawut Charoensukhawatana, Nattapong Hotongkham, and Manat Kulapalanon, reinforced their championship status by winning their second consecutive race, earning trophies for first place in both class and overall after completing 229 laps. Meanwhile, Car No. 20, driven by Kan Supapong, Akrapong Akneeroth, Nadol Watthanatham, and Krit Wasurat, finished 4th in class and 19th overall with 184 laps.
In the TC3 class, the team entered Toyota Yaris ATIV No. 29, with drivers Narat Apivat, Aitan Atsadathorn, and Shiba Kentaro rotating behind the wheel. They raced relentlessly, finishing 2nd in class and 6th overall after completing 217 laps.
For the TC N+ class, the team fielded Toyota Yaris ATIV HEV No. 39, driven by the duo Mario-Sittichai Khangnimith and Songsak Korsirisubsakul with a hybrid vehicle, finishing 4th in class and 16th overall after completing 185 laps.
