Bacon Time, a Thai esports team, could not withstand the strength of Deep Cross Gaming despite fighting with full effort, ending the APL 2026 competition as runner-up.
The international Arena of Valor Premier League (APL) 2026 esports tournament took place in Da Nang, Vietnam, on 19 July. In the grand finals, Thailand's Bacon Time faced Deep Cross Gaming (DCG) from Chinese Taipei.
The championship was decided in a Best of 7 format, requiring four wins out of seven games. DCG started strongly, winning the first three games in a row to lead 3-0, needing just one more game to close the series and claim the title.
However, Bacon Time refused to give up, rallying to win two games and narrowing the score to 2-3. Ultimately, in game 6, DCG regained momentum, won the match, and closed the series with a 4-2 victory.
As a result, DCG secured the championship and received a prize of $200,000 USD (approximately 6.75 million baht), while Bacon Time finished as runner-up, earning $100,000 USD (around 3,362,998 baht).
