"Sasipaporn" speaks candidly before the Thai women's volleyball team competes in SEA V Cup 2026, revealing two improvements,
On 23 July 2026, the Thai women's national volleyball team resumed training after finishing the 2026 Women's Volleyball Nations League (VNL 2026) to prepare for the next competition, the SEA V Cup 2026.
The first leg of the 2026 SEA V Cup women's volleyball will be held from 31 July to 2 August in Hanoi, Vietnam, and the second leg from 7 to 9 August in Chiang Mai, Thailand.
However, Omsin Sasipaporn Chantawisut, a key middle blocker for the Thai women's volleyball team, confirmed that the most important goal is the 2026 Women's Asian Volleyball Championship, taking place 21-30 August in Tianjin, China.
The champion of this tournament will earn an automatic berth to the 2028 Olympics in Los Angeles, USA. However, Thailand must compete against Japan, ranked 6th in the world, and China, ranked 7th.
Omsin Sasipaporn Chantawisut said before today's practice, "Our team is already focused on the Asian Championship. We do focus on every tournament, but this one gets extra attention. After finishing VNL, we understand our playing style. Now we must focus more on each specific aspect."
"(Physical condition) is currently okay. We have increased fitness and speed because the upcoming schedule will be quite tough, so we are focusing specifically on this."
"(Regarding the SEA V Cup 2026 championship) I am confident we can perform well in both legs."
"(Physical condition after VNL 2026) When we train hard, we also recover and take better care of ourselves because our bodies have been continuously used. There are periods of rest and self-care to maintain fitness."
"(What fitness improvements?) I think weight training has intensified because the coach has planned daily training programs specifying what to focus on."
"After finishing VNL, we are now doing this, which has increased intensity in almost everything — running, weight training, and on-court skills."
"(Improving spiking efficiency) I think the training will be intense. I will try to do better than before. I just want to do my best and don’t set goals about intensity. I simply want all my efforts to turn out well."
