Dechapol Puavaranukroh and Supissara Paewsampran fought with all their heart but narrowly lost to China, missing the finals at the "China Open 2026."
At the Victor China Open 2026, a World Tour Super 1000 badminton event held in the People's Republic of China on 25 July, in the mixed doubles semifinal, the world No. 4 pair Dechapol Puavaranukroh and Supissara Paewsampran faced the home team Guo Xinwa and Chen Fanghui, ranked No. 6 in the world. Of their three previous meetings, the Chinese pair won the first two in 2025, while the latest encounter at the Asian Championships in April saw Bas-Fem win 2-1 games.
The first game was closely contested, with the lead changing hands repeatedly. Late in the game, the Chinese duo led 18-15, but Bas-Fem caught up and earned two game points, which they failed to convert, allowing the Chinese pair to edge the game 23-21 in a deuce.
In the second game, Dechapol Puavaranukroh and Supissara Paewsampran started strong, leading 11-5. However, the Chinese pair caught up and took the lead 12-11. Both sides battled point-for-point until late in the game when the Chinese led 20-16. Bas-Fem narrowed the gap to 19-20 but could not recover, and the Chinese won the match 2-0 with scores of 23-21 and 21-19, advancing to the finals.
